A "pest" would've died back in the freezing snowstorms that plague Snowdin! A "pest" wouldn't be this determined to help you!" "Sure, I can be stubborn.but I'm far from being a pest! A "pest" wouldn't have made it to this point. The horrendous stench of hot metal filled your nose, but you ignored it and got up on your feet, glaring up at Asgore as he went to retrieve his trident. ".GO!!" You shouted as you finally managed to rip your sleeve and roll out of the way just as the fireball struck the ground. But you gasped as you saw one of the fireballs heading straight towards you. 'Damn it! DAMN IT ALL!!' Gritting your teeth, you kept trying to break free. "And just like a worm.you're also a stubborn pest that needs to be exterminated." His face darkened as he glared down at you. You were about to say something when you saw several fireballs appear over his head, lined up like an arch. Looking up, you saw Asgore towering over you, rubbing his chin with his paw in thought. 'Ack! I'm stuck! Stupid sleeve.' You thought, struggling to tear yourself free to no avail. You rolled out of the way, but the prongs managed to pierce your shirt sleeve and keep you from going anywhere. The three sharp prongs glistened from the Barrier's light, seemingly outlining their pointy tips. Hearing heavy breathing, you looked up, your eyes widening in horror as Asgore rose his mighty trident above him. You cried out in pain as a fireball struck your back unexpectedly, causing you to fall onto your stomach. The thought of you getting tired before he did was enough to make you sweat bullets. Along with that, the Sea Tea you drank earlier gave you a bit more of a boost.īut in the back of your mind, you were wondering how long this was gonna go on for. ![]() Luckily, you were smaller and thus quicker than he was. "I SAID HOLD STILL!!!" He roared, swinging his trident around with the intent to knock you off your feet. Despite the nefarious acts he has committed in the past, you knew that he was only doing what his people desired. Why you felt that way.you weren't so sure yourself, though now you were more determined than ever to show Asgore that violence is not always the answer. Everything that breathed or moved was out to kill you, and yet you felt guilty about hurting them-even if it was for self-defense. Only on a few occasions throughout your journey were you forced to use it to survive. You wouldn't even try to, even though you had the Tough Glove equipped and could really pack a serious punch (no pun intended) in. All the while, however, you didn't attack him. The battle between you and him seemed to drag on forever. His expression showed a mixture of frustration, malevolence, and exhaustion. ![]() You yelped as you dodged a fireball that came flying at you, exploding right where you stood a moment ago.ĭigging your heel into the ground to maintain your balance, you glanced up at the king of the Monsters who was looming over you. "Hold still, human! Let me make this quick!"
